PlantText Version 22 has been released with some big performance enhancements! As PlantText has grown in popularity, it has experienced usage spikes that have bogged down the server at peak times. With Version 22, PlantText now has a series of our own load balanced PlantUML servers in place to ensure diagrams are generated responsively. Thanks to all the donors who made this new version possible!

This month we continued our series on Design Patterns, with the Observer pattern. 

With Version 22 out, we expect hosting costs to go up for PlantText to meet the ever increasing demand. But we have some ideas in the works for how to generate more value for our users.

• Document storage. The ability to save and store diagrams is one of the most often requested features from users.
• Subscriptions. Optional paid subscriptions to remove ads and provide access to other premium features.
• AI Integration. Coming up in the future we are working on AI integration and collaboration / chat features as well.
